Week of January 31 Update
This week threw me some serious curveballs, and my wellness journey took some unexpected turns. Spoiler alert: not every week is going to be a perfect linear progression – and that’s totally okay.
Mental Health Snapshot
Anxiety levels were higher this week. Work stress triggered some old patterns, and I found myself struggling to maintain my meditation routine. But here’s the win: I recognized the trigger and didn’t completely abandon my self-care practices.
Exercise Rollercoaster
Goal was three workouts. Reality? Two solid sessions and one incomplete attempt. Tuesday’s strength training went great – I’m getting stronger. Thursday’s workout got interrupted by a work emergency, which would have been a total derail in the past.
Nutrition Revelations
Discovered something crucial this week: my stress eating is directly connected to my sleep quality. When I’m tired, my willpower for healthy choices plummets. Tracking this connection became a major insight.
Scale and Progress
Weight stayed exactly the same this week. Old me would have been frustrated. New me understands that maintenance is also a form of progress.
